Photo to Zombie Video: A Practical Upload Checklist
Reference quality matters more than an elaborate background. Clear faces, distinct subjects, and consistent lighting give an image-to-video model a more useful starting point.

Create your zombie videoTwo portraits or one shared photo?
Use two individual portraits when you want explicit control over the roles. Each image should contain one main subject, with a visible face and enough of the head and shoulders to identify the person.
Use a shared photo when you already have a clean image of both subjects. Avoid overlapping faces, group photos, and one subject standing far behind the other. A shared image with very different face sizes can make identity harder to preserve.
A five-point check before upload
Inspect the actual file, not only the small thumbnail on your phone. A compressed screenshot may look acceptable in a gallery while containing too little detail for generation.
- Sharpness: zoom in and check that the eyes and mouth are readable.
- Lighting: prefer soft, even light over deep shadows.
- Visibility: remove masks and choose a photo without sunglasses.
- Composition: crop out unrelated people and leave some space around the face.
- Rights: use a photo you may upload and get each person’s agreement.
Troubleshoot without changing everything at once
If identities are confused, try separate portraits. If a face drifts, use a sharper front-facing reference. If an embrace looks awkward, simplify the action and reduce competing scene instructions.
Change one input at a time so you can understand what helped. Do not keep resubmitting a task that is still processing. AI output remains variable even with good references, so inspect the finished clip before sharing.
Before the first take
Can I upload a screenshot from social media?
Use the original image whenever possible. Screenshots often add compression, captions, interface elements, and unrelated faces. You still need permission to use the underlying photo.
Will a higher output resolution fix a blurry photo?
A larger output does not recover missing identity details in the reference. Improve the input photo first, then choose output resolution for your intended use.
